Easter Escapades at Fort Douglas
March 30, 2018 - April 2, 2018
For a cracking Easter weekend, join us at Dalkeith Country Park where our resident Rangers will be rolling out fantastic holiday activities from Friday 30th March – Monday 2nd April. Spring has sprung and we can’t wait to have you along to Fort Douglas for some blooming good fun!
Egg Hunt (10AM – 4PM, Fri – Mon)
Hundreds of eggs have been hidden in the adventure park, and it’s up to you to unearth them. Find one and you can swap it for a chocolate one at our Eggs-Change station. Free of charge with Fort Douglas entry.
Easter Bunny Footprints (All Day, Fri – Mon)
Suitable for our younger adventurers and set up around the toddler area in Fort Douglas, children can follow a trail left by the Easter Bunny himself.
Easter Trail (All Day, Fri – Mon)
Follow the trail and learn about some of the Park’s stunning wildlife whilst trying to crack the code to find the Easter Bunny’s favourite food. A great walk for all the family, the trail will follow the Yellow Walk route. Remember to pick up your code cracking sheet from the Fort Douglas ticket hut.
Easter Games (2PM, Fri – Mon)
Join the Ranger for some Easter-themed games at Fort Douglas including bunny hop racing, egg rolling and egg & spoon race.
And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve got FREE Face Painting from 12pm – 3pm each day, as well as Spot Prizes for Best Bunny Ears, Best Decorated Egg, Best Bonnet and more. Easter in Edinburgh and Midlothian has never been so much fun!
