**PART OF MIDLOTHIAN HERITAGE WEEK 2018**
The Declaration of Arbroath, the Magna Carta – these documents were written using an old form of writing that we don’t use anymore in mainstream society – calligraphy. At a time when using a pen or pencil is considered archaic, we are beginning to pay more attention to the past and our heritage. Join me to put pen to paper and re-discover this wonderful way of writing, I’ll share a bit of history of calligraphy and the documents created from it that have shaped our lives, followed by a workshop so that you can try it yourself. We’ll practice the letters and finish by creating a document.
To book your place, please email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please pay on the day.
